Heel pain can be a frustrating condition for many patients as it has a variety of presentations and may often rise even when YOU don’t remember having an injury

Heel pain can be a variety of different diagnosis including

  • Plantar fasciitis
  • Achilles tendonosis (Tendonitis)
  • Retro calcaneal Bursitis
  • Enthesopathy
  • Severs Disease (In children)
  • Achilles Tendon Tear
  • Plantar fascial Tear

Just to name a few and this can range from acute (2 – 4 weeks) or chronic (6-12 months) Often people have difficulty treating these injuries with conventional physiotherapy because they are only having the symptoms treated (pain) and not the actual CAUSE of the pain.

It is vital to see a podiatrist to have your pain correctly diagnosed and then assess the cause of your pain if you are to have complete recovery of your heel pain.
